The Community Service Council (CSC) provides leadership for planning and mobilizing efforts that improve the lives of thousands of Oklahomans each day. The Council’s mission is to provide leadership for community-based planning and mobilization of resources to best meet health and human service needs.
JumpStart Tulsa is the community outreach and engagement initiative for the Tulsa County Partnership for Early Childhood Success. The partnership’s mission is to ensure all children in Tulsa County are healthy and ready to learn when entering school. Tulsa is one of eighteen community partnerships statewide forming the network known as Smart Start Oklahoma.
Smart Start Oklahoma is Oklahoma’s statewide early childhood initiative and serves as Oklahoma’s Early Childhood Advisory Council. Smart Start Oklahoma seeks to provide better opportunities for children and families in our state. “Our mission is to lead Oklahoma in coordination of an early childhood system focused on strengthening families and school readiness for all children. We envision all Oklahoma children will be safe, healthy, eager to learn and ready to succeed by the time they enter school.”
The Child Care Resource Center offers quality child care resource and referral services to families, providers, businesses,and the community. CCRC currently employs a staff of child care professionals to support parents, child care providers and the community. Our expertise includes child development, early childhood, nutrition, nursing, social work, speech and occupational therapy, and more. Several staff members hold advanced degrees in child development and related fields.
The Tulsa Area Community Schools Initiative is a network of partnerships between 17 Tulsa Public Schools, nine Union Public Schools, district leaders and community partners, all locally unified under a national education equity strategy known as community schools.
A community school is a place and a network of supportive partnerships between the school and the community that help children learn, families succeed, neighborhoods engage and communities thrive. With support and resources from the community, community schools care for the whole child – academically, emotionally, physically and socially. Collectively, we strive to bring communities and schools together to provide the services and resources families need to be healthy, and the programs and opportunities children need to be successful.
